Urban Futurists formed with a common goal to make a social impact on the urban environment. We are compelled by a holistic understanding of what social responsibility can be, without a utopian embrace of progress. We live, work, and study in the heart of New York City with an understanding of the daily issues of an ethnically and culturally diverse population. Hailing from San Francisco, Toronto, and Istanbul, the culture surrounding cycling means something different to each of us. The future of urban cycling is relevant not just to the people in this city, but also to how each of us identify with the place we now call home.
